Broadcaster or Board!
Who is the real Boss?
Broadcasters who are known as the soul of cricket, they are the ones who are trying to give some extravaganza dramatic view of cricket to viewers, Whether in the debates or some analysis of cricket done by them. They always try to pinch viewers with some small but useful things, whether it's their pitch report done just before the toss or the excited behind-scenes of cricketers which gives the viewer a sense of freshness in the overdose of cricket.
But the question arises of who is running the cricket broadcasters or Cricket Boards now before anybody asks why this question arises they should know How this question arises because everything seems right at the moment but it is not, definitely not. Let's find out how!
No. 1 Today broadcasters decide the time of the match as what time it will be played-No. 2 Almost every big cricketing nation has broadcasters who decide how many matches will be played between the two teams in a bilateral series-
No. 3 Official press conference of pre-match or post-match which take place one day before or after the match will be broadcast on the broadcasting channel before appearing on the board's official TV channel which is not even part of the game, but still-
no. 4 Official announcement of the squad for any upcoming series/tournament will be live broadcast on the broadcasting channel first and sometimes even the questions will be asked only what they want to be asked by the media persons-
no. 5 Last but not least it's only broadcasters who decide what would be the campaign which is fine but who will lead the campaign, and it is not the captain every time, it could be any player whom they want to highlight.
We can understand that yes they are trying to enhance the level of the game but at what cost, don't they need to think again...there could be many ifs and buts too, yes the broadcaster has paid the wholesome amount for the rights of broadcasting in millions or in billions and they have right to do it the way they want to...that's completely fine but and at the verse of broad's exclusive rights. And what if cricket collapsed in the future due to biasedness then who would be responsible for this 'the Board' who has all the rights to make decisions accordingly or 'the broadcaster' who made all the decisions.
