The big hope : Associate Nations

Afghanistan, Netherlands, Ireland, Zimbabwe, and so on so...

Associate nations are the new hope in the Cricket field as they are doing the job of regularly test-playing nations. There is a dominance of some 5-6 nations including India, which is currently riding high on the winning troat of its vulnerability and the players with their peak in the arc of their respective carriers. But does cricket have just limited itself to these nations or do the enthusiastic fans of cricket demand more, more participation, or more contests between bat and bowl.


Currently, there is ICC Men's Cricket World Cup is going on in India and we have already witnessed some El Classicos some arch-rivals fighting for two points to keep them alive in blink changing points table, but we were aware of the fact that there are the things the going to take place as it is ICC CWC, in ICC there is a genuine contest between bat and bowl that what we want. But what we were not expecting was the show from Associate Nation, Nobody was expecting them to beat the SENA countries or big test-playing nations like England, South Africa, and Pakistan or probably many more to come as the tournament progresses.

Netherlands, the name should be shouted all around because they have handed a defeat to South Africa, another name in the list is Afghanistan probably the most progressing nation on the field of cricket as they have handed a shocking defeat to Defending Champions England and the one who started the tournament as favorites Pakistan.

So what the point is, don't these teams deserve extra support so that they can grow extra funding from the ICC an extra Support in the Bilateral Series, because currently they are playing the big team and even defeating them but they will get to play again with these teams in next ICC WC or another ICC event because no Big test-playing nation invites them to play in bilateral series.

In Conclusion- Cricket is shrinking and if we want to make it spread again then it demands some efforts from already developed cricket-playing nations.
